Why is comfort essential for wedding shoes?

Your wedding day will be one of the longest days on your feet in your life. From the ceremony itself to the drinks reception, photographs, the first dance, and the evening do - that's a lot of standing up!

A pair of uncomfortable shoes will likely frustrate and annoy you, just when you want to enjoy every moment, so it's important to choose wisely. This will minimise the chance of foot pain, blisters, and overall discomfort.

How do Calla Shoes help keep you comfortable?

We've designed our bridal range specifically to be the most comfortable and stylish shoe possible. Here's how Calla Shoes are better:

  • Arch-supported and cushioned insole - our cushioned soles prevent foot fatigue over long periods of standing.
  • Non-slip sole - the sole of our supportive heels prevents excessive foot movement that causes blisters.
  • Soft leather upper and lamb leather lining - super soft, so no abrasive rubbing.
  • Heel heights - we offer a range of heel heights, so you can choose a shoe that matches your personal preferences for comfort.

Our wedding footwear range includes sandals with a heel and ankle straps (perfect for a summer wedding), block heel shoes, court shoes (cozy for winter weddings), lace-up sneakers (great for casual brides), kitten heels, slip-on flats/pumps (perfect for a beach wedding), and high-heeled dress shoes.

Choose from a range of appropriate bride colours to match your style and wedding dress, including white, champagne, neutral, gold with sparkle, and soft rose pink. You'll be saying your nuptials in style.

You can also find matching or complimenting style bridesmaid shoes and wedding guest shoes in our other collection: Shop all Calla Shoes

We also have mother-of-the-bride shoes.

Trying shoes in the afternoon

Your feet swell throughout the day, so it's best to try on your bridal shoes during the afternoon, to ensure it's an accurate representation of your feet on the wedding day. If you try them in the morning when your feet are smaller, you may accidentally purchase shoes that are too small for you.

Wear your shoes before the big day

The best way to get your feet used to wearing your new pair of shoes is to practice walking in them.

This means spending lots of time wearing them about the house, well before the big day. This will soften up the material of the shoes, and ensure you'll be standing comfortably on your wedding day (just don't risk wearing them outside!).
