Bunions are one of the most common of foot complaints seen by foot specialists in the UK.

According to the largest study in the UK of people affected by bunions (Arthritis and Care Research – Prevalence and associations of hallux valgus in a primary care population), there is also a direct correlation between the age of a woman and the prevalence of bunions. The results of which showed that the older you are the more likely you are to have them.
In the total UK population, around 15 million people have bunions, the majority of which are women over 45.
